How long does it take?

Usually 9 to 12 months could be expected based on 2-3 hours per week but could take longer and students can proceed at their own pace. There will be variances across the students which will be influenced by the individual’s time to complete their on-line work and their ability to log their evidence of on-site work activities relating to each unit.

What about previous experience?

This circumstance is commonly referred to in training circles as Recognition of Prior Learning. It has been suggested that those experienced people be encouraged to complete all course units to reinforce their skills and knowledge, and indeed remind them of basic issues. Noting they will probably complete the course quicker than those less experienced.

How much does it cost?

For a student to complete course one the total cost is $1800. This cost can be split 50% upfront and 50% at the completion of training. Keep in mind if you are currently involved in the garage door industry, this course will be tax deductible!
